I'm looking for a good replacement board too. Just a half an hour ago my board caught fire. Freaked me the hell out. Thank god I was sitting next to it. Something tells me the screw terminals are not up to snuff

hah. I was dumb. I did have Repetier Host running, and now this time I didn't, so I finally got around to successfully uploading new firmware. All is good. Running my first print since new firmware. Thank You Chip for all you've done for the community!

I'm having issues uploading the new firmware to my printer. As seen in attached I get a timeout. not sure why. I can control my printer in Repetier Host.

I ended up buying a cheap piece of plate glass cut to size from Lowe's. I unplugged the inductive z sensor and added the extra microswitch for the z axis. I was able to get the z axis limit switch homed in the good old way and it seems to print fine.

Glass bed question
I've got my hic i3 metal frame auto leveling printer up and going. I'd like to add a Borosilicate glass plate, but I have a question on how to execute it since my printer has the SN0-4 inductive z axis sensor. With the addition of a typical 3mm glass plate I'm pretty sure when doing it's auto homing...

thanks so much for these suggestions and mods. I took your advice and bought new bearing and upgraded the PSU wire. I will most likely buy a new PSU as well. I bought new z axis threaded rods and brass nuts since one of the nuts was effectively useless due to pretty much no threads inside. Upon firs...
