Re: Limit Switches Odd Behaviour
Its common on hictop printers that the wires on the limit switch break at the solder joint. The behavior your seeing is exactly that. Remove the limit switch, cut off the heatshrink, resolder and use either silicone RTV or hot glue to help hold the wires so they dont break off.

Re: DOH!
That switch should be installed on the input to the power supply(120VAC). It will see way less than 10 amps at full power supply output. Replacement board and power switch are being sent from the factory. In the mean time, I have a new board coming from Amazon tomorrow. One thing I am curious about,...

Re: HICTOP I3 CALIBRATION ISSUE
If its flat, then you might just be too far still. A piece of paper should slide under the nozzle with a little resistance, raise the nozzle, then put down the paper, then lower the nozzle, and adjust the wingnut until the paper has some slight resistance.

Re: HICTOP I3 CALIBRATION ISSUE
Its probably your bed is bowed down in the middle. You can get a piece of glass to print on, or if you willing and able to mess with firmware you can enable mesh bed leveling. You could also contact Hictop and see what they can do. I had been using mesh bed leveling, but have since added the autolev...

Re: Serious Issues
The marlin firmware from github must be modified to work correctly with your printer. More than likely, the inital problem was you calibration was not set right. Now you need to get the right firmware before you can go any further. What model do you have?

I have the same printer. I have the power supply and mainboard swapped compared to you, and I found the endstops cables had plenty of room.
