Re: Extrudr PLA Tec Black
Ok, will try lowering bed temp to see how it goes. I really would like to skip using glue stick cause it's a pita to remove the prints. Hi all, Hi nilrog ! It might help you, it works great for me ;-) I solved my Platec bed adhesion issues by using exclusively 3DLAC from Leon3D while following the ...

Re: Adjustable belt tension UM2 sliding blocks
Those who would like to try feel free to ask more,
the interesting thing I noticed is that with more stretched belts this reduced a lot the ringing, care to not stretch too much !

Re: Adjustable belt tension UM2 sliding blocks
Hi all! Hi forza ! yes I 'm The modification works fine for me, these slidings blocks need to be printed precisely with a machine in a good condition and then a well mounting by using the X/Y align tool will ensure proper operation, it's under your own responsability ;-) here the Rar files download ...

Re: Z-axix linear bearings
Hi all ! Hi PeggyB, just my 2 cents Before disassemble too much things, the tip for a quick check of the good sliding of the bed is to unplug the Z motor wire from the electronic cart then remove it by handly turning the Z screw from the printer, so the bed is free and its sliding could be verified e...

Re: Z-axix linear bearings
Do you still have the same print area? It almost looks as though the print head would collide with those rods..? Hi MTVDNA ! Good point ! You're right ! the printing area is a bit smaller, for very large prints that will pose problem, especialy on back right area personaly I never had this need but...

Re: Adjustable belt tension UM2 sliding blocks

Re: Z-axix linear bearings
Much appreciated, thank you! Also, I think one alternative for people willing to perform this mod is to use threaded rods. Those can be found for less than 1€ in local hardware stores and then can be cut down with a dremel or similar tools. The 1€ price is for 1mt of that. It's true it won't be &qu...

Re: Adjustable belt tension UM2 sliding blocks
Hi all Thanks! [quoteça risque de me piquer les yeux en coupant les courroies mais j'avoue le concept est vraiment intéressant ![/quote] J'avoue que au dernier moment j'ai hésité à le faire ! Neotko, when you will print the 4sets sliding block parts, think to mirror 2 sets, that will allow y...

Adjustable belt tension UM2 sliding blocks
On the UM2 I had always found that the tension of the belts was a bit fair and especially uneven on the same axis and also between the X and Y axle, as the belts began to too much relax, here what done to improve the system while respecting the original dimensions and easy access. The blocks can be ...

Mitsumi and co.... make a lot of money with small hardware, raw material costs almost nothing,Neotko wrote:That's waaay cheaper than the misumi custom shaft s.
in this case the 6mm OD 2017 Aluminium rod costs 3€/m even by purchasing only one meter

Re: Z-axix linear bearings
Cheers Gudo, The link for Neotko's double ended screwed rod, looking at the photo it looks like it is normally threaded at both ends and not a LH thread and a RH thread. I'm going to get some marine turnbuckles in stainless steel from eBay, cut of the forks and modify the ends, to either fit your r...
